Directions: 4th Street is at the south end of Palo Verde next to the gas station. You will go through a ranch just outside of town. Just follow the signs for the Opal Hill mine 3 or 4 miles out past the power line as the Gem Trails map indicates.

Notes: The problem isn’t finding Pebble Terrace, it’s deciding where to spend your time. It is a vast area. It’s probably best to get away from the roads. We found very little of interest out in the “pebbled” areas, compounded by the dark brown desert varnish that makes everything look the same. The jasper under the coating tended to be a drab gray-brown. If you bear to the left and head into the area crossed by various washes, you will start finding red and brown chalcedony and if lucky maybe even a bit of fire agate.
